A CHILD SAVED BY MOTHER MARY

Introduction :

In the first centuries of the Church it was the custom to give to little children who had not yet lost the innocence of their baptism the "Consecrated Species" which remained after the Communion of the Faithful.

One day, a child the son of a Jewish Glass Founder of Constantinople while going to school with other "Christian Children" had followed them to the Church and innocently presented himself like the others and received the fragments of the "Holy Eucharist".

A Frightful Ordeal :

Having returned home, he narrated simply to his Father what he had done. The Father, then a most brutal man and one of the most passionate Jews against everything christian became at once infuriated. He seized the unfortunate child and threw him alive in one of his burning furnaces.

Sometime after that, the mother who had been away during the tragedy came home and not knowing what had taken place asked everywhere for her son.

As nobody could tell her where he could be, she went all about the town searching and asking for him but all was in vain.

Three days had already elapsed, and unconsolable the poor mother still wept bitterly over her lost child and in the excess of her sorrow she happened to call him aloud by his name as if he were present.

A Miracle :

Suddenly, A Wonder !! A Voice answered her and called to her by the tender name of Mother !!

Much moved, she ran to the furnace from where the voice seemed to come. She opened the lid and A Miracle !! Her son, was there in the middle of the flames but quite alive and uninjured.

She called her neighbours to her help and they too witnessed the miracle.

Our Lady's Presence :

The Child was drawn out and questioned how he had fallen into that burning furnace and how his life had been preserved in the middle of such a fire.

He answered that his Father had thrown him there, for having assisted at a Catholic Christian function but that a beautiful Lady radiant with light had preserved him from the flames by covering him with her cloak; she had even given him to eat to satisfy his hunger; and she looked exactly like the pious image he had seen in the Church of the Catholic Christians.

All understood then that it was the "Divine Mother of Jesus Christ" namely Mary who had saved his life and preserved him from the flames of the furnace.

Conclusion :

The Roman Emperor hearing of the cruel act of this unnatural father had him arrested and punished.

The wretched man instead of converting himself persisted the more in his error; but the mother and the child sought instruction in the "Catholic Religion" received baptism and became fervent Catholic Christians.

CROWN OF GLORY

Introduction:

In Portugal, there exists a crown of the "Blessed Mother" where Saint Pope John Paul -2 placed two bullets which struck him when he was the Pope at Saint Peter's Square on May 13, 1981.

I believe that this symbolizes Our Lady's Triumph. She will turn everything around and even the most vicious efforts of her enemies will be used to make even brighter, her "Crown of Glory".

The triumph of the Immaculate Heart of Mary will be the Eucharistic Reign of her son through the flourishing of "Perpetual Adoration" which will bring about the "New Era" a second, a new, and a more glorious earthly paradise.

SAINT POPE JOHN PAUL -2 AND THE BLESSED SACRAMENT:

This is why, Saint Pope John Paul -2 was allowed by God to be shot on May 13th. It is the Feast of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament. The Pope is the Vicar of Christ.

The significance of him being shot on the Feast Day Of Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament is this. It graphically illustrates the horror and evil of the unrelenting attacks on the Blessed Sacrament.

The World was in shock when Saint Pope John Paul -2 was shot. What would be more terrible ?? As, blatantly and tragically horrible as this scene was, of the Pope Saint John Paul -2 being shot, even worse is the unseen attacks on the "One" he serves so well, the Lord Himself in the most Blessed Sacrament.

Are we moved to do something about it ??

Denial of the Real Presence, ridicule of exposition, and specially attacks on "Perpetual Adoration" are common place. Read the Book of Revelation and the battle lines of war become clear once you know that the "Woman" is Mother Mary against the 'Dragon- Satan' fighting the "Lamb" - Jesus Christ in the most Blessed Sacrament.

Who are the Kings who fight against the "Lamb" ?? They are those in authority in the Church who fight against the Blessed Sacrament. But "The Lamb" will be victorious because he is the Lord of Lords and the King of Kings and those with him are called chosen and faithful. (Revelation 17:14).

Many people - Soldiers and Ordinary Folk were killed during World War -2. How many brave men in the past century alone have fought and died for love of their country ??

How many wars have been fought for Peace and Freedom ?? and yet, look how far we are away from either.

There is only "One War" worth fighting for. "Standing up for Christ in the Blessed Sacrament today is like standing up for Christ when he was on the Cross !!".

What we need today is an "Army of Priests" who are willing to fight, by standing up and being counted for the cause of Christ in the Blessed Sacrament.

Conclusion :

There are 2 Catholic Cardinals from Asia, who I admire a lot. One of them is the "Holy Cardinal" of Cebu in the Phillipines and Cardinal Sin of the Archdiocese of Manila.

Cardinal Vidal is the Holy Cardinal of Cebu. Cardinal Vidal once said that because we live in "Extraordinary Times" we must be willing to do the "Extraordinary" by having "Perpetual Adoration" in order to obtain "Extraordinary Graces and Blessings from God".

Cardinal Vidal works very hard to bring about perpetual adoration in every one of his parishes. Cardinal Sin of Manila has made it the most "Eucharistic" Diocese in the world with over 100 Chapels of perpetual adoration.

God Bless them both !!

CORPUS CHRISTI AND THE SACRED HEART

Introduction:

The Feast Day of Corpus Christi (The Body of Christ) was requested by Our Lord himself.

It was not a feast day that the Church in its wisdom decided to include in the liturgical calendar. It was a feast day, rather, that Jesus Christ requested through extraordinary means by appearing to his servant Saint Juliana and showing her a Moon that he said was symbolic of the feast day that was needed, that he wanted, that he requested, the feast day of Corpus Christi.

And Saint Juliana said "But Jesus, we have a feast day Holy Thursday".

And Our Lord explained to her that Holy Thursday is also a feast day that celebrates the institution of the Holy Priesthood along with the institution of the Holy Eucharist.

He wanted one special feast day set aside in honor of "His Real Presence in the most Blessed Sacrament".

For he said as the Church progressed in time, faith in His Real Presence would dimnish to the point where it would need a feast day to remind the people that he is really here.

"That the Eucharist is the Body, Blood, Soul, and Divinity of Christ".

That this is not a symbol of Jesus Christ, but the reality of Jesus Christ himself. The same Jesus born in Bethlehem two thousand years ago, the same Jesus who died on the Cross for our sins, and the same Jesus that rose again on Easter Sunday is really, truly, bodily, and personally present in the most Blessed Sacrament.

The Connection and Similarity between Corpus Christi and the Sacred Heart :

In the Month of June, we celebrate the feast day of the Sacred Heart of Jesus. Why do we celebrate Corpus Christi on Sunday and the feast of the Sacred Heart of Jesus on Friday ??

Again, this is because this is what Our Blessed Lord specifically requested.

Through his servant Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque he requested a feast day in honor of the Sacred Heart, within the octave of the feast day of Corpus Christi, because he wanted to spotlight, highlight, focus, emphasize, dramatize, :

THE BLESSED SACRAMENT IS THE SACRED HEART OF JESUS LIVING AND LOVING IN OUR MIDST TODAY !!

Conclusion:

The Message of the Sacred Heart is Eucharistic. Devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus is Eucharistic. Jesus Christ appeared to Saint Margaret Mary Alacoque in the presence of the Blessed Sacrament.

And his first words were "Please look at this heart which has loved mankind so much, consumed itself for love of man, and yet is so little loved in return.

" I THIRST WITH SUCH A TERRIBLE THIRST TO BE LOVED IN THIS MOST BLESSED SACRAMENT".

His request to her was an appeal to mankind to be loved in the Blessed Sacrament, the same request that goes back to the Gospel, "Could you not watch one hour with me ??"

For the Heart of Christ, as he himself described it, is a burning furnace of Love. When Saint Margaret Mary looked at the Heart of Christ, it was like a million burning suns on fire with love, for each and every one of us.

How can we truly believe in the "Real Presence of Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament knowing that Saint Pope John Paul -2 was right when he said that Jesus Christ waits for us in this "Sacrament of Love" with a love that no human tongue can tell for the Lord loves us as no one else loves us and not be moved to come to him every single day" ??

28th April Feast Day of Saint Louis Marie Grignon De Montfort and Catholic Classics written by this Awesome Saint

Introduction:

April 28 is the Feast Day of Saint Louis Marie De Montfort - A Great Marian Apostle.

He wrote 4 Books which have become quite popular among catholics in the past 4 decades. They are as follows:

1) A Letter to the Friends of the Cross

2) The Secret of Mary

3) The Secret of the Rosary

4) True Devotion to Mary.

Here is something about his life in France where he was born and ordained a Catholic Priest.

Saint Louis Marie De Montfort was the second son of his Parents, who had 18 children in all. Several of his brothers and sisters died very young.

He was baptized on February 1, 1673 the day after his birth. His Father was a Lawyer in the town of Montfort in Brittany, France. His Mother was a pious hard - working woman who gave him his first lessons in the spiritual life.

When he was 12 years old, he was sent to the College of Saint Thomas Becket which was taught by the Jesuit Fathers in the City of Rennes.

Already in college, he began to grow greatly in holiness. His love of holiness centred around his deep devotion to the Blessed Mother of God, of whom he was later to become an "Internationally known Apostle".

He entered the Seminary of Saint Sulpice and in that famous house of studies his great devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary came to greater strength.

He consecrated himself entirely to Jesus through Mary. He formed a society among the seminarians to practice perfect devotion to the Blessed Virgin.

On June 5, 1700 He was ordained a Catholic Priest by Bishop Bazan De Flamanville of Perpignan. He spent several days preparing for his first mass.

He offered the "Holy Sacrifice of the Mass" for the first time in the Chapel of the Blessed Virgin in the Church of Saint Sulpice.

He wanted to go to America as a missionary but was refused. Instead, he became one of those preaching "Parish Missions" in his own country.

The Catholic and Marian Masterpiece - True Devotion to Mary:

Over the course of time and after some years, he wrote a book "True Devotion to the Blessed Virgin" which still continues to be considered one of the greatest "Marian Masterpieces and Classics of all time".

The perfect devotion he wrote of and taught in his preaching and in his book consists in an act of total consecration to Jesus through Mary.

Saint Louis Marie De Montfort was and is the great "Marian Apostle". He lived what he preached.

One can learn how to live consecration to Mary's Immaculate Heart by prayerfully studying his Masterpiece "True Devotion to Mary".

Those who would say De Montfort's "True Devotion" is of another age and culture have not properly understood or appreciated his message.

It is timeless causing many to consider it inspired. It is the Church of the present and past century that glorified this Saint whom "Divine Providence" used to usher in the Age of Mary.

Divine Mercy Sunday 2015 12th April Merciful Jesus Christ, I trust in you A Personal Story

I love the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion 24-7-365.

My Family and I have promoted the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion in Mumbai, India vigorously for more than 25 years.

We have spread the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion to Cities in Central India and in North India like Lucknow, Indore, and Patna to mention a few.

In 1994 and in 1995, we got in touch with Divine Mercy Information Centre, Hong Kong which was run by a Chinese Catholic Evangelist by the name of Mr John Bosco Wong. He was a Third Order Carmelite.

Mr John Bosco Wong sent my family tons of Divine Mercy Literature in 1996 and in 1997 meant for propagation in India.

We used to take literature with us to various Catholic Churches in Bandra West, a Suburb of Mumbai like Mount Carmel's Church, Saint Peter's Church, and Saint Andrew's Church to mention a few.

We used to distribute Divine Mercy Literature to Catholics explaining to them the significance of the Image of the Merciful Jesus Christ, the 3.00 Prayer, the Chaplet of Divine Mercy, and the Feast of Divine Mercy Sunday. This was done throughout 1996 and 1997 respectively.

My Parents were instrumental in getting the approval from Cardinal Ivan Dias of the Archdiocese of Mumbai in 1999 for Divine Mercy Sunday to be declared a "Church Feast" in the Archdiocese of Mumbai.

Our Objective in promoting this beautiful devotion was to make known the all encompassing love of Merciful Jesus Christ for suffering and sinful humanity.

AN OUTSTANDING MIRACLE OF DIVINE MERCY :

In January 1999, My Father was engaged in some masonry work on the terrace of the Bungalow where we live.

While doing some work on the terrace, he lost his balance and fell 25 feet to the ground. He miraculously survived this fall only because he used to promote the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion on his travels to various cities in India when he used to deliver continuous "Medical Education" Lectures. He is a Physician by Profession.

The fact that only a bone was injured in his right leg is an "Astounding Miracle" of the Divine Mercy in his life. Jesus Christ, the Divine Mercy protected him from serious harm and serious injury.

Now in 2015, We as a family are extremely happy to know that the Divine Mercy Message and Devotion is spreading like wildfire all across peninsular India and all across the world.

Let me conclude. Our Lord Jesus Christ asked Saint Faustina to see to it that the Feast of Divine Mercy be established on the First Sunday after Easter.

This would be a day of total forgiveness of sins for those who receive Holy Communion and go to Confession.

Happy Divine Mercy Sunday to one and all.

Note 1: Please check out an awesome and magnificent Website on Divine Mercy Sunday. please read it.

Note 2 : Unceasingly pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy and 3.00 Prayer for the salvation of souls.

The 3.00 Prayer

You expired Jesus Christ, but the source of life gushed forth for souls and the ocean of mercy opened up for the whole world. O Fount of Life, unfathomable Divine Mercy envelop the whole world and empty yourself out upon us.

O Blood and Water which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of mercy for us, I trust in You.

PERPETUAL EUCHARISTIC ADORATION AND SAINT POPE JOHN PAUL -2

Introduction:

On December 2, 1981 Saint Pope John Paul -2 began Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration with the Blessed Sacrament exposed in a Chapel at Saint Peter's in Rome and appealed to all Parishes to do the same.

He exhorted us to fill our Churches outside the timetable of Masses with hours of adoration and prolonged periods of Exposition as an expression of our personal commitment to our Eucharistic Lord and Saviour.

Jesus Christ himself points to the ways, the means, and the source of renewal when he says "Come to Me" for "I will refresh you" (Matthew 11:28). And again, "See I make all things new". striking is the fact that Jesus Christ did not whisper it, nor did he speak in a normal voice.

Rather, Sacred Scripture says that he "cried out" when he said :"If anyone thirsts, let him come to me. Let him drink who believes in me". Scripture has it "from within him rivers of living waters shall flow." (John 7 : 37-39)

The Blessed Sacrament is Jesus Christ living in our midst to fulfill a promise made long ago: "I myself will pasture my sheep. I myself will give them rest, says the Lord God. The Lost, I will seek out, the strayed I will bring back, the injured I will bind up, the sick I will heal". ( Ezekiel 34 : 14-16). The Blessed Sacrament is Jesus Christ, the God- Man sacred in his divinity, sacred in his humanity.

In his first encyclical letter "Redemptor Hominis" Saint Pope John Paul - 2 exhorted that "Every member of the church, specially Bishops and Priests must be vigilant in seeing that this "Sacrament of Love" shall be at the center of the life of the people of God, so that through all the manifestations of worship due to it, Christ shall be given back "Love for Love" and truly become the "life of our souls".

No Matter how  busy Saint Pope John Paul -2 was, or how many important people he had to see, he made sure he spent time with the most important person of all : "JESUS CHRIST IN THE BLESSED SACRAMENT".

Every Day, he used to spend 2 or 3 Hours in his eucharistic presence. and he used to tell the whole world that this was where he used to get all his energy to do so much for God and his people.

Conclusion :

Imagine the Pope inviting you to Rome to spend an hour with him : you  would feel like the most important person in the world. Who would not see this as a great honor and do anything to get there ??

Yet it is a much greater honor to spend an hour with Jesus Christ himself. Those who kept company with Jesus Christ in the Gospel stand out as men and women of great faith- they were his chosen friends who really believed in him.

They were ridiculed then, but are admired now. Those who keep company with Jesus Christ in the Blessed Sacrament are his friends today who will stand out for all eternity for their faith in "His Real Presence".
