Catholicism in Myanmar -- One Province says it all

Catholicism arrived in Myanmar also known as Burma in the 15th Century along with Portuguese Missionaries and Explorers.

But, It was not till the 20th Century that it really got an impetus in the form of conversions and growth.

In Loikaw Province in Myanmar, Catholics are 25 per cent of the population, this in a country where Catholics are not even 1 per cent.
